
MELOCOTONES CON VINO (Peaches in wine)
A traditional Murcian summer dessert

Ingredients
4 large peaches
750 ml (1 1/4 pints) red wine
100 g (3 1/2 oz) sugar
Rind of 1 lemon
A cinnamon stick
100 ml (3 1/2 fl oz) brandy (optional)
Steps
A traditional Murcian summer dessert
Add the sugar, lemon rind, brandy (if desired) and cinnamon to the wine.
Peel the peaches and cut each one into 4 or 5 pieces. Place the peaches in the wine and leave to soak for a couple of hours before serving.
